Lucknow film festival

The first Lucknow film festival was organized from 13- 14 September in 2008. The sixth edition of the festival took place in 2014. Renowned filmmakers like Anand Patwardhan, Saba Dewan, Uma Chaktravarti, Rahul Roy, Nakul Sawhney, Anupama Srinivasan and Yousuf Saeed have participated in the festival. Ram ke Naam,Life with Slate, Living of Jogi Mara, Khayal Darpanand Children of Heaven were amongst the important films that were screened at the festival. Some of the highlights from the festival include Anand Swaroop Verma’s lecture on the learning points from Nepal’s culture and resistance, Ashok Bhowmick’s presentation on progressive painters, keynote address by poet Vishnu Khare and performance by Hirawal Music Group. Viren Dangwal,MangleshDabral and Ajay Kumar from Jaunpurhave participated in the events associated with the festival.
