BARIELLY FILM FESTIVAL

The festival was organized in collaboration with the yearly convention of UP Jan SanskritiManch and it gave the audience in Bareilly an opportunity to watch films from the new cinema movement. Late Viren Dangwal was amongst the key people who organized the Bareilly Film Festival from June 7, 8 in the year of 2008. Filmmaker Sanjay Kak participated in the festival with his film JashneAzaadi. Ashok Bhowmick conducted a lecture demonstration on progressive painters titled ‘Janchetnakechitere (Artists of People’s Consciousness) at the festival.
